Submit your own questionBack Q: Pastor Donna,I´m seeing more Teenagers and Young People getting Tattoes on there body,some you can see,if they are Dressed,then they get them on body parts,you can´t see.There parent most of them are Christain,some are not and The Parents says,Oh it´s just a Petty Red Rose When I was(The Parents,mostly The Mother says when I was younger than my children, all the girls got there ears prieced,it´s The End Thing having a Tattoe,theres noithing to it!Now if it was a skelton or snake I would say that would be wrong,but there noithing to it,God looks at The Heart!I would like your opinion on Tattatoes,and precing your eye lid,or lips!I know from years ago,hearing it was not of God! What if a Christain Women now in her 60´s had her ear priced,40 years ago,when she wasn´t Sevring The Lord and justs wheres the same Hoop EarRing,what I would like to know you opinion on that! The Churchs are not preaching on these things,Some Well know Preacher´s on T.V.has one Ear Preice,or there Eye Lid,Preice!They say they can reach more Teenages by looking like them and fitting in,instead of wearing Suit,and a Tie!Please Help me with and others with this! Regarding your question I am going to quote scripture regarding tattoos -- Leviticus 19:28 says ´Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead nor print any marks upon you, I am the Lord´
When God says something, I believe it and that settles it for me regardless of how popular it is or how many in the church condone it, participate in it or preach in favor of it.
I wrote an article (#71 Who Are We Carbon Copies of?) a few years ago and I am certain that it will answer your question completely and shed some light on how so many in the Christian Churches have lost their moral clarity. It has become very serious and is really shocking how many leaders are promoting ´the things of this world´ rather than teaching -- ´Come out from among them and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and TOUCH NOT the unclean thing and I will receive you.´ (II Cor 6:17 KJV)
