Submit your own questionBack Q: Hello Miss Donna. My question deals with faith. In order to believe what´s in the Bible you have to put a tremendous amount of faith in PEOPLE. In this book it is written that the Bible is the protected word of God. Again, these are humans that are telling us this. On your website you say that God speaks directly to you audibly. I believe it´s more likely to be thoughts that pop into your head, similar to when I suddenly remember that I have to pick up my daughter from school. Without speaking directly to God, how can we be sure of the truth when we are hearing these messages from humans who can be, and often are, wrong?

Dear Belle:
I can tell by your question that you have not read most of my articles such as #84 and #33 or the ‘Question & Answer’ section of my web site, nor my autobiography, where I have addressed this issue at length but I don’t mind trying to condense my answer to your question here.
I have only once heard the ‘audible’ voice of God and what He foretold, which I immediately advertised to everyone that would listen for an entire year and a half, actually came to pass exactly as He had said it would.
That was the only audible time but I DO hear Him speak to me in my heart and spirit as loudly and clearly as if He were speaking out loud. Things & wisdom & knowledge & information that I could not possibly know or be privy to. (but I would have to type an entire chapter on this subject alone) There have been times where I was NOT certain if it WAS God, but He would confirm in many external ways whatever it was He was telling me.... as in my short story in the ‘What’s New’ section under Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2007 and then Friday, March 09, 2007. These are a "MUST READ".
The bible DOES say that ‘His sheep hear His voice and another they will NOT follow’. (You would find it very interesting to do a study on how you can mix up four different herds of sheep and then have each of the four shepherds stand in four opposite directions and call out to their sheep and each lamb then heads toward the voice of their own shepherd and the herds will separate completely .... and .....another they will NOT follow!) Now, sheep are supposed to be the dumbest animal on earth, so.... I´ll leave it to YOU to surmise.
But since you do not believe that the Bible is infallible because it was written by men, I ask you to examine the lives and the transformation in the lives of the people that read it and believe it and FOLLOW it. (please notice that I said FOLLOW) Twenty-five years of psychiatry and psychology cannot accomplish what the bible can with ONE verse.
My other point is that the Bible is the ONLY book on the planet that is prophetic and foretells the future to the least detail. (I cannot remember the exact percentage but it is very high) It is also the MOST historical book ever written and the information has been collaborated sometimes thousands of years after it was written, through excavations in the Middle East. One particular example are the ‘Dead Sea Scrolls’ (you can investigate that for yourself) which prove that we are reading TODAY EXACTLY what was written thousands of years ago.
2 Peter 1:20 says, ‘Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man; but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost’.
Your comment was, "in order to believe what’s in the Bible you have to put a tremendous amount of faith in people’ --- but my faith is NOT in people, I have a tremendous amount of faith in GOD, because He is more than capable of keeping His ‘instruction manual for planet earth’ intact. You don’t really think that He would put us all down here to ‘fend for ourselves’, do you???
ps (added next day) I had degenerative disk disease for 5 years for which there is NO cure except for surgery. About 3 years ago as I was asking for any type of medication from my doctor to STOP THE 24 hour a day PAIN, I heard God clearly speak to my spirit in the form of a ‘word of knowledge’ -- "God does NOT need a pill to heal me!"
What proof do I have that God spoke to me? Well, I have had NO PAIN since that day and I do not take any medication and I have NOT had surgery!
The entire thing is a long story about how ‘revelation knowledge’ just hit me like a ton of bricks when God spoke and even though I have a healing ministry where MANY people have been healed of MANY things, I needed that ‘personal word’ from God for my condition to be alleviated.
