Submit your own questionBack Q: Dear Miss Marfonti, I was hoping you could answer a question for me. It is something that has made me wonder for some time and itīs important that I find an answer to this.
God lives in Heaven, correct? Did he create Heaven? If so, where did he live before that? If not, who created Heaven?

Dear Sally:
Thanks for posting your question.
I wish I could help you but God did NOT give us all the answers. I believe that our finite minds cannot comprehend all that information. Scripture even tells us that we cannot comprehend it.... "for the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God; for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned." (I Cor. 2:14)
The one thing that I do know is that the Bible says that ..."In the beginning was the Word (Jesus is called the Word), and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
The same was in the beginning with God.
All things were made BY HIM, and without Him was not any thing made that was made.
In Him was life and the life was the light of men.
And the Light shineth in darkness and the darkness comprehended it not." (John 1:1 - 3)
God is shining in the darkness (revealing Himself to us) but most of those that are in the darkness do not want to see or acknowledge the light.... because they LOVE the DARKNESS.
"But without faith it is impossible to please Him: for he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that Diligently seek Him." (Hebrews 11:)
So He promises to reveal Himself to us spiritually and it will be as clear as day. Not only does He want to reveal Himself, He wants an ongoing relationship WITH US.
But, getting back to your question about heaven... God is omniscient. His Spirit is everywhere, all around us, not just in heaven. But He does have a throne, (on the side of the north), and He is seated on that throne with Jesus on His right side, ruling the universe. (I can get into this further if you like)
Forgive me for using so much scripture but it is the Bible (our instruction manual from God) that is the authority in these things, not my opinions.
